UMBC Fast-A-Thon '09
Monday, September 14, 2009 at 1:58PM In the Name of God, Most Compassionate, Most MercifulIn the spirit of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, UMBC-MSA wants you to fast for one day: Sept 16th. No food, no water. From sunrise to sunset, all for the cause of fighting hunger.
We urge everyone to donate as much money as they can and help us in making our community a hunger free zone. All donations will be sent to one of the local charities.
People from all faiths and religions are invited to this event.
At sunset on Sept 16th, we will host dinner to break your fast for FREE. Even if you do not pledge to fast, you are still invited to east with us. Last year, over three hundred people showed up and this year we hope to make it even bigger insha-ALLAH.
